She specialized in tongue diagnosis, combined with pulse diagnosis, to provide patients with treatment services. Treatments include acupuncture, herbal formula, and cupping. She speaks Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese. Not only does she help patients relieve symptoms, but she also treats the root cause by balancing internal environment. She strongly advocates seeking the root cause of the disease and treating the disease before symptoms get severe. For patients who cannot go to the clinic, she can also conduct distant video consultations, diagnosing and prescribing herbal formulas.

My medical practice is guided by the theory of prescriptions found in the Han Dynasty's "Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases," rooted in the essence of China's oldest traditional medical system. Embracing the philosophy of harmony between humans and the earth, the earth and the universe, my approach to healthcare is holistic, considering the human body from a comprehensive perspective. I specialize in viewing diseases from unique angles, advocating responsiveness to the body's signals, and assisting in achieving a balanced state. Proficient in addressing general diseases and various complex conditions, I adhere to the principle of treating each body with an individualized approach, rejecting specialization. Simultaneously, I excel in combining the principles of meridians with the Four Examinations of observation, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry, and palpation for enhanced diagnostic precision. Following the principles of minimal and focused medication, I strive for more pronounced and rapid treatment outcomes. Dedicated to providing personalized and comprehensive TCM therapies, I am committed to contributing my professional knowledge and experience to the health of each patient.

At the age of 18, Dong began a journey of self-healing by practicing Qi Gong. This led him towards daily meditation in the past 11 years, and an interest in helping others. Dong emigrated to Canada in 2003 and completed his Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbology in Victoria, BC in 2017. Since then, he has practiced traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, auricula therapy, foot reflexology, yang shen and meditation. Over the years, Dong has helped patients find relief from headaches, insomnia, dizziness, stress and anxiety, digestive problems, other internal organ disorders, and chronic pain syndromes. Dong has also successfully treated women’s health concerns, such as menstrual pain and dysfunction, and reproductive health and hormonal imbalances. As a Buddhist with an open heart, Dong enjoys leading workshops for self-care acupressure, health maintenance, Taoist Meditation and Zen Meditation. Dong’s specialty is to infuse meditation/concentration/Dhyana into his TCM treatment to deal with mental health issues such as anxiety, restlessness, ADHD, insomnia, bipolar, depression, anger. At the same time, if you are interested in topics like ultimate Freedom & Happiness, Peace & Wisdom, Dong could help you to realize them in a Buddhist view in terms of Madhyamaka and Middle Way :) Dong realized that body problems are deeply rooted in our mind patterns, which lead our thoughts, actions, and words. Every body-mind issue needs to be balanced with spirit and pure awareness, which is why Dong can be found exploring the elements of science, yoga, and meditation in his spare time. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Dong can converse in English and is also fluent in Mandarin.
