He graduated with a master's degree in acupuncture from Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. He studied under Professor Sun Shentian, a national master of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and has 30 years of clinical experience in China and Canada. He is currently the president of the British Columbia Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Practitioners (atcma.org) and the Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling Association of Canada (fsnac.ca). He is good at using a variety of acupuncture techniques, such as scalp acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and myofascial trigger point acupuncture, and is especially good at Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling (FSN) therapy. In clinical practice, he uses a combination of several effective acupuncture methods to treat various pain conditions, sports injuries, and pain after car accident in a targeted manner based on the patient's different conditions. The obvious results can often be achieved within a few sessions. He has cured many patients with pain who had tried multiple treatments but had no effect. He is also willing to teach and share his experience and techniques. Over the past few years, he has trained dozens of acupuncturists in FSN therapy in the Greater Vancouver area, enabling many newly graduated acupuncturists to quickly find their career positions with skills and confidence, benefiting more of patients. As the current chief speaker of FSN therapy, he is committed to building Canadian Western TCM White Rock Clinic into the first FSN acupuncture training demonstration base in Canada.

**Xiang (Sean) Zhou** is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCM.P.) in British Columbia, providing **acupuncture and herbal medicine**. He focuses on the assessment and management of **acute and chronic pain, sports injuries, and functional imbalances. Common conditions include neck, shoulder, and low back pain, sports-related injuries, and post–motor vehicle accident (ICBC) conditions**. He also addresses overall health concerns such as **sleep, digestion, and allergies**. In clinical practice, he not only focuses on symptom improvement, but also emphasizes restoring the body’s regulatory capacity. Treatment is guided by the principle of addressing both root causes and presenting symptoms. ###Clinical Expertise### **Sports Injury Rehabilitation** For acute sports injuries and conditions caused by long-term overuse, treatment focuses not only on symptom relief but also on restoring movement patterns and improving load tolerance. Common cases include running- or hiking-related injuries, gym overuse conditions, tennis elbow, shoulder injuries related to swimming or racquet sports, and muscle or joint problems following activities such as skiing. Treatment progresses according to tissue healing and functional response, supporting a safe return to training or daily activity while reducing the risk of recurrence. **Recovery from Acute Injury** For functional changes following motor vehicle accidents (ICBC) or other acute injuries, care addresses not only pain but also coordination, tolerance, and long-term functional reliability. Common presentations include neck, shoulder, and lower back discomfort, headaches, dizziness, restricted mobility, and delayed recovery. Treatment priorities are continuously adjusted according to patient response, advancing care safely while helping the body gradually re-establish balance and stability. **Chronic Pain and Functional Limitation** For long-standing strain and functional restriction, treatment emphasizes both tissue repair and restoration of functional movement, improving activity quality and supporting long-term physical resilience. **Regulation of Sub-Health Conditions** Including sleep disturbance, headaches, digestive irregularities, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue, and allergies (such as seasonal allergies). Through systematic regulation, treatment supports restoration of body rhythm and improvement of adaptive capacity. **Integrative Support for Chronic Conditions** Within conventional medical frameworks, care may support individuals living with chronic conditions such as diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and post-stroke recovery. By improving circulation and functional status, treatment helps enhance comfort and overall quality of life. **Collaborative Care** When other medical or rehabilitation services are involved, treatment remains aligned with existing care plans, supporting patient recovery within a coordinated healthcare framework.
